"Keeps Disconnecting"
My garage door keeps disconnecting throughout the day and it’s getting really frustrating because I’ll think it’s working fine for a bit, then I go to use it again and it’s offline or not responding, so I’m constantly having to mess with it just to get in or out.

"Couldnt get it to connect"
I spent hours trying to get this thing connected and it just would not work. The app kept crashing or failing every time, and it got really frusterating. I wanted to like it, but the setup was a mess.
"Felt Left in the Dark After Buying"
I bought this thinking it would be a simple setup with my garage opener and phone, but it definitely wasn’t. My opener is only a few years old, and somehow it still isn’t “compatible” unless I buy extra hardware, which I didn’t realize until after the fact. Trying to connect it with Google/HomeKit was frustrating too, some things don’t work, some need odd workarounds, and others seem tied to subscriptions. Support basically just sent me compatibility charts after I’d already bought it, which made me feel left in the dark. I really wish all of that had been clearer upfront. It feels like this product only works well if you’re already inside its little ecosystem

"Every time there’s a firmware update…"
Every time there’s a firmware update, my garage opener seems to act up all over again. The app drops connection, my settings get wiped, and when I reach out to support, I basically get told to reboot it like that’s supposed to fix everything. It’s frustrating because I never really know what changed or why things stopped working, so I’m just left in the dark trying to babysit a garage door that should be simple...
"Setup Was Way More Frustrating Than It Should Be"
I tried setting up myQ with my home Wi-Fi and it just would not pair. The app kept spinning, failing, and then making me start the whole process over again. I was literally standing right next to the router, so it’s not like the signal was the issue. After almost an hour of messing with it, I still got nowhere. For something as basic as connecting a garage app, it shouldn’t be this difficult. the whole experience made me feel less like a customer and more like some random ticket number waiting to be dealt with.

"Convenient at first, then just annoying"
I’m frustrated with myq. At first it seemed fine, or at least I think it did for the first few weeks, but then the battery started draining way faster than I expected. I feel like I just charged it, or maybe replaced it not that long ago, and now it’s acting up again. It’ll work normally for a while, then suddenly become a headache all over again. For something that’s supposed to make life easier, I’ve spent way too much time dealing with it. I wouldn’t buy it again.

"Keeps Dropping Connection"
I really wanted this to work, but it keeps losing connection over and over. I’ve tried resetting it, moving it closer, and checking my Wi-Fi, but the issue still happens. When I reached out to support, it kind of felt like they were blaming me or my setup instead of actually helping figure out the problem. Frustrating experience overall.

"Sensor keeps saying the door is open"
I’ve got to say, this has been frustrating. The sensor keeps showing that the door is open even when it’s completely shut. I expected it to work better than this, whoever designed or tested this really dropped the ball. It’s annoying having to keep checking something that should just be accurate...

I used to really like this, but lately I keep looking at the price and thinking, wait, when did it get this expensive? It’s not bad, but for what it costs now, I’m not sure I can justify it anymore.

"Garage door status is still unreliable"
The app keeps showing my garage door as open when it’s closed, or closed when it’s actually open. I’ve refreshed it a bunch of times and it still doesn’t update properly. I also had to chase them to get any kind of response about it, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. It’s not very useful if I can’t trust what the app is telling me

"Live View Is a Mess"
The live view keeps freezing and it’s blurry most of the time. It takes forever to load, and sometimes it doesn’t even open at all. what a joke. It’s just really annoying to use

"Playback barely works, and support feels impersonal"
Most days, trying to play back recordings is a headache. The video either freezes or whole clips are just missing, which is really frustrating when I’m trying to quickly check something. On top of that, dealing with it makes me feel like I’m just a ticket number instead of an actual customer with a real issue.

"I bought myQ because I wanted…"
I bought myq because I wanted to be able to check and open my garage from my phone, but it seems to be down more often than I expected. Sometimes it just spins, and other times I get a service unavailable message. Maybe it’s just bad timing on my end, but it’s frustrating when I’m away from home and can’t tell if the garage door is actually closed. The support updates don’t really explain much either. For something connected to home access, I feel like it should probably be a lot more reliable.

"The app is fine if I just need…"
The app is fine if I just need to open the garage, so I’ll give it that. But the automation part? Kind of a mess. I set up a schedule thinking it would close the garage at night on its own, which is literally the whole point for me, and sometimes it works… and sometimes it just decides not to. No warning, no obvious reason, nothing. So now I’m still checking the garage manually every night like I was before. It’s not completely useless, but I definitely don’t trust it enough to rely on it

It’s really frustrating because it always seems to disconnect at the worst possible times. I’ll be right in the middle of something important, and suddenly it’s gone. I wish it were more reliable.

Maybe I’m just not great at navigating this kind of thing, but I found it really hard to find anything. I kept looking around and couldn’t easily get to what I needed, which got frustrating quickly.

"Good idea, but kind of frustrating..."
I got myQ mostly so delivery drivers could get access when needed, but it’s been more of a hassle than I expected. Half the time they still can’t get in, the app alerts show up late, and getting everything set up wasn’t exactly clear. I reached out to support, but the answers were basic and didn’t really solve much. It sounds like a great idea in theory, but day to day it just feels unreliable... and for something I’m paying for, I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I really thought the support instructions would get my garage connected, but nothing changed. I followed the steps and still ended up with the same issue, so it was disappointing after expecting at least some progress.
"Not as smart as I expected"
I bought this thinking it would fit right into my smart home setup, but honestly... not really. The app feels clunky, and the integrations are way more limited than I expected. A bunch of the stuff I already use won’t even connect unless you mess around with weird workarounds, which is just... yeah. For something marketed as a “smart” garage system, it feels behind. I just wanted it to work without turning into a whole project...
"Geofencing has been really inconsistent for me"
I really wanted to like the geofencing on myQ because my brother swears by his smart garage setup, but it’s been hit or miss for me. Sometimes the door opens way too late, and other times it doesn’t open at all, so I end up pulling out the app and doing it manually anyway. I’ve gone through the settings, checked the location permissions, and tried to make sure everything is set up right, but it still doesn’t work consistently. Kind of defeats the purpose when I still have to babysit it.
